Loved this book—although it did take some time. It’s not that I wasn’t hooked; I wasn’t captivated, if that makes sense. A I continued to read, I learned the main character, Nora, is like a lot of us struggling to find her way and takes a few risky chances. A quote from the book in which those that suffer from imposter syndrome can relate to:
“It was never devastating events that sent Nora’s mind spiraling…it could be a major change that slowly gnawed at her, or several insignificant moments that piled up and sent her right back to the thoughts she tried to avoid.”
And then, I got hooked and captivated because the author is so realistic with this character, who I could somewhat relate. I kept reading because I had to know how things would turn out. The ending was not what I expected; it was perfect.
Another great book I recommend—5 out of 5.
