Each weekend has been filled with something. I’ve been hosting out of state families several weekends out of the month, as well as coordinating my sister’s wedding; I needed a break.
I took a few days off right after the wedding (literally, the next day) and with the embroidery kit packed, my husband and I took a short road trip, about 3 hours away, and stayed in a hotel for a few days.
There we tried out new restaurants, walked around the town and did some window shopping, then we watched football in the evenings and I was able to finish the second embroidery. It was uninterrupted, peaceful and relaxing…something we both needed.
