Book Review:  A Long Way Down

Warning:  This book surrounds the premise of suicide and one of the main characters was imprisoned for having sex with a minor.

A story of four people who befriend each other when they attempt suicide on New Years Eve.  The writing captivated me.  The story was told as if each character was talking directly to the reader…in brain dump style (rambling on about what happened, as if trying to figure out where to go/what to do).

Despite the topic and the reason for imprisonment, I thoroughly enjoyed the book because of the writing style, bits of humor, and the weird way these misfits continue to keep in touch with each other.
