Book Review:  Trust Yourself – Stop Overthinking and Channel Your Emotions for Success at Work

If you’ve read my most recent posts, you are probably going to guess that this book’s rating will be a 5 out of 5.  If that is true, you are right.  Melody Wilding is a licensed social worker and executive coach.  For those of you that are empathetic, or what she calls sensitive striver, this book is for you.

Sensitive Strivers are high achievers who are also more attuned to their emotions, the world, and the behavior of those around them…they often face a daily battle with stress, anxiety and self doubt.”

Melody Wilding

The book is divided into 5 parts from Self-Awareness to Sustain Self-Growth, with topics pertaining to balancing emotions, negative thinking, and building boundaries.  Each chapter ends with how to get unstuck and an exercise to build on what you’ve read.

Not only do I highly recommend this book, it has earned a space on my work desk as a reference.
